NLIT Summit 2023
Booth #257

D2iQ is excited to be participating as an exhibitor and gold sponsor at the NLIT Summit 2023 in Milwaukee on June 28-29.

The NLIT Summit is an annual conference sponsored by the National Laboratories Information Technology (NLIT) Society, which provides a venue for the exchange of best practices and ideas among IT and cybersecurity professionals within the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).

Among a broad array of topics that will be covered at NLIT Summit 2023 are DevOps approaches, zero trust security, AI applications, and hybrid cloud architectures.

These are all topics on which D2iQ experts have spoken, written, and presented recently, including the following:

Argonne National Lab Chooses D2iQ for App Modernization

Along with the agenda topics, attendees at NLIT Summit 2023 can learn why so many government agencies are choosing D2iQ as the Kubernetes management platform for their modernization programs, including Argonne National Laboratory.

Argonne National Lab chose the D2iQ Kubernetes Platform (DKP) as the foundation for its  application modernization program because of its ease of installation, state-of-the-art automation, centralized management plane, high availability, and the expertise of D2iQ’s support and training teams.

D2iQ’s Professional Services team implemented the platform and provided training services to enable the Argonne National Lab DevOps team to successfully manage the Kubernetes environment. Installation of a production-ready DKP environment was performed in less than two hours, and the applications running on DKP are now the core IT services in use at the Argonne National Lab.

Broad Government Adoption of DKP

The demand for D2iQ solutions within the government sector led D2iQ to introduce DKP Gov, a container-management solution optimized for deployment by government military and civilian agencies.

Besides Argonne National Lab, government agencies that have adopted DKP include the U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Missile Defense, U.S. Space Force, and U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

System integrators like Northrop Grumman, GDIT, SAIC, Lockheed Martin, and Dinohead also have chosen DKP as the Kubernetes platform on which they are creating container management solutions for their government clients.

As Dinohead chief operating officer Michael Howard explained, Dinohead chose the D2iQ platform because “it was simple to deploy and provided enterprise scalability.” Competing Kubernetes solutions were difficult to deploy and the deployments were not easily repeatable or scalable, said Howard, whereas DKP gave Dinohead a secure, reliable, scalable, open, and production-ready Kubernetes platform.
